Diablo Destroys Records

The highly anticipated realase of Blizzard's third diablo did not turn out to be a bust, far from it. It sold over 4.5 million copies in 24 hours, making it the fastest seling PC game of all time. There were bugs with the game's server and hacking threats right away, but it obviously hasn't shied anyone away from purchasing Diablo. Diablo ended up selling around 6.3 million copies after the first week, beating World of Warcraft: Cataclysm by millions. The general public opinion of the game has been high praise and it's seemed to live up to it's expectations.

Feeling the Heat

On Thursday, the Indiana Pacers dominated the Miami Heat in every possible way. The win brought the Pacers up in the series 2 to 1 and the next game is in Indiana as well.it was a good time for Roy Hibbert to have his best NBA game of his career, with 18 Points, 16 Boards, and 5 blocks. Hibbert admitted with Chris Bosh out for the Heat that it was easier for him to control the paint and he had more freedom on defense. On the other end of the spectrum, in was not a good time for Dwayne Wade to have his worst game in his playoff career, going 2-13 with 5 points. He had 5 turnovers. There was an apparent confrontation between Wade and his coach were yelling at each other in the third quarter. After the game his coach said that it "was a good thing" and the "those things happen all of the time". When Wade was asked about it, he pretended he had no idea what was being talked about. There is no doubt the Heat are under pressure, let's see how they respond.

Goodbye to the defending champs

The Oklahoma City thunder ended the champions hopes on repeating before try even had a chance on winning a playoff games. The Mavericks got rid of Tyson Chandler and JJ Berrea this offseason, with the hopes that they could ring in a big free agent this offseason. Everyone in the organization knew it would be tough to repeat as champions this year, and try proved that by not winnin a playoff game. The Thunder are one of the favorites to win it all this year, and Ty showed why in the series.

Seau has seen the day-ow

Early in the morning on wednesday, May 02 police rushed o a house where someone had called about a shooting. This isn't out of the ordinary, considering where the house was and how big of a city it was, but when the police went into the house to investigate, they saw quite a horrific scene. Hall of fame linebacker Junior Seau wa laying dead next to a gun, with several holes in his chest. He committed suicide earlier that day, or reasons unknown. RIP Junior Seau.

Arrest at it Again..

In a game featuring the Thunder and the Lakers...Ron Artest threw an elbow at James Harden after a dunk. Ron has been suspended 13 times in his NBA career, making this the 14th. MAny people think this is too light of a suspension given his background, but 6 of the 7 games are playoff games. Harden is currently put with a concussion, and it remains to be seen when he will return. Artest said that it was an accident and that it was part of the post dunk celebration. Ron was once suspended for a full season after the "malice at the palace" which is referred to as one of the biggest sports brawls of all time.

He was known for being the commentator for when the ball drops and being an announcer/commentator for several things. He was always unbiased and was know as the man that never aged, until his last few years. He was announcing until the very end, which sums up how great of a man Dick Clark was.

Boy band makes it big

Gibraltar High School has made it to national news, with the boy band that has everyone craving for me. The band is made up of the lead singer being Marshall Davis, and the rest of the band being Kierra Shumway, Matt Knutson, and Rick Astley. Their first single, "Hey Jude" was said to be the most original piece of music in the past 22 generations. All the women are raving for the boy band, and want more music. When asked about their  success, they replied "never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down". Wise words from a wise group..

What now Tebow?

Recently, Peyton Manning signed a 5 year, 96 million dollar deal for the Denver Broncos. Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, so the Bronco's are excited for his arrival, but what happens to the Tebow Magic? After leading a resurgent comeback to the playoffs, the Bronco's gave up on Tebow and are most likely going to trade him. This is a very bold move by Denver to give up on the "savior" of your franchise, but most people would if it meant taking in Peyton Manning. The future of Tebow's future is uncertain, but promising nonetheless.

Crosby's last hoorah?

Sidney Crosby is back in lineup for the Pittsburgh penguins Tuesday, his fourth game in the last 2 years. Crosby has been sidelined lately with ongoing concussions. Crosby's injuries have been taking a toll on the NHL as well, because "Sid the Kid" was one of the markets biggest superstars. It would be a tragedy if he couldn't make a full recovery. Sid won his first MVP when he was only 23, the youngest of all time. God only knows how many more he could win if he's healthy the rest of his career. He has reinstated several times that he doesn't know if he'll ever be back to where he was back when he was 22, he is now 24 and has only played 4 games since his MVP season.

Bye Bye Manning

The Colts released Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning Wednesday after 14 seasons of greatness for the colts. He was coming back off of a back surgery but the Colts decided they're going to roll the dice on Andrew Luck with their first pick of the draft next year. The Colts were a league worst 3-13 without him last year and now they decided to release him? I'm skeptical about the decision to say the least...

Uncalled For?

In this past weekend's all star game there was an unusually hard foul from Dwayne Wade to Kobe Bryant in which D Wade wrapped his arms around Kobe's head. The all star game is known for just being a fun game in where the final score really doesn't matter all that much, because no team wants one of their superstars to fall to injury. When Dwayne Wade's elbow connected to Kobe's nose in the third quarter of the game, he appeared to have a bloody nose, but it was later confirmed that it had been broken. Many people there were shocked and after the Wade apologized for the "accident", so it was just forgotten about. Two days after that hit, it was confirmed that Kobe suffered a concussion, which could be a long and pesky injury. The Lakers have publicly stated that they are not happy with Wade's actions and some player have talked about retaliation. Their respective squads meet Sunday, so it could get chippy. We will have to see how long these injuries bother Kobe.

Where's Duncan? :(

The NBA all star roster's have just come out, and Tim Duncan was not on the Western Conference's all star list. Last year Duncan was a starter in the all star game with numbers that weren't even close to the ones that he's putting up this year. Come on people! Even though he doesn't want to be...he deserves to be an all star.

All he does in Lin

New York believe's that they have found the future of basketball in their new look point guard Jeremy Lin. In the eight games that he's started the shotty New York Knicks have an eight game win streak. When Jeremy Lin got his first start the two team stars, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire were not playing as well. Lin is a graduate from Harvard and chose basketball over economics, and is currently living on his brother's couch. This is a good story well it lasts, but defense's adjust, and Lin won;t keep up the pace.

Sidenote: Spurs have won 9 straight games.

Allen Iverson leads Sixers to top of divison? Wait, what?

For the first time since Allen Iverson made his exit from Philadelphia, the 76ers aren't considered a cellar dweller in the NBA. In fact, they're the only team that has a firm grasp on their division. Of you take a look up and down the roster nobody really jumps out at you, because they're winning games out of team defense and sharing the ball on offense. No one on their team is averaging over 20 points a game or even 6 assists a game. They are winning as a team, efficiently. People are calling them the Spurs of this generation, so we'll just have to sit back and find out.

What's so wrong with Tim Tebow?

Recently, two students were suspended for the art of "Tebowing" in the hallway. Tebowing in kneeling down and putting your head in your hand. This started after the quarterback Tim Tebow started doing it to pray after every good play he made. Two students organized at a passing period that everyone would Tebow in a certain stop, and the two kids that organized it got suspended for "blocking students from going to class."

The Celtics have stumble out of the gate to a 4-8 start in the 2012 NBA season. They're currently in a 5 game skid, the most ever for the big three era, which got together in 2007. Rajon Rondo has been playing well, leading thee league in assists and is second in steals.
